Hey Everyone!
The Susan G. Komen 3 Day Walk was such an amazing experience. It was unforgettable and we were all so moved and touched. Opening ceremonies began on Friday at about 7:30 am. It was a bit emotional seeing many survivors and every one that was fighting for them! The walkers walked 20 miles each day and by the second day they were popping blisters and rewrapping their feet with bandages at every stop..By the third day they were hurting pretty bad!.. They did great! Everyone finished the race. They walked 60 miles total. It goes to show how much they love and care for Debbie and that this race wasn't about them! This was one of the best experiences of my life. In the midst of them walking we set up cheering spots everywhere we could. The second day was rough for them so we probably stopped at 10 different locations and cheered them on. We went to a chemo appointment with deb on Friday and met her favorite nurse(pictured top right). We were there for about 2 hours or so,grandma even took a nap. The trip was packed with excitement and we had a blast! I hope everyone can come or be involved next year.. Nicole and I have already
vowed to walk in the next 3 day in St. Pete! We had a great time! love you!
